Causes
This error may occur when:
- The transaction is blocked by Mangopay’s anti-fraud policy
- The transaction is blocked by the platform’s fraud prevention rules
What to do
In the Dashboard’s fraud prevention panel, you can find the inquiry linked to the transaction to see the logic to determine the cause of the refusal. Search on the transaction’s Id
, which corresponds to the inquiry reference.
If the refusal was caused by a rule set created by the platform, you can review the rule or rules that led to the Refuse recommendation.
Testing
Mangopay’s fraud prevention solution allows you to:
- Test rules on historical data (backtesting)
- Publish rules in Simulation mode to generate recommendations without triggering automated actions
