### Causes

This error may occur when the end user:

* Doesn’t provide the expiry date of the card
* Provides the wrong expiry date for the card
* Provides an invalid expiry date format for the card

### What to do

In such cases, end users need to check their card information and retry.

### Example

In the example below, the end user tried to register a card with an invalid expiry date (“12227” (12/227) instead of “1222” (12/22)).
