### KYB document guidance for USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, UAE

Guidance on the [local KYB documents](/guides/users/verification/requirements/kyb-local) and data required for Legal Users registered in USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and UAE has been provided to streamline the onboarding of your platform's end users.

The guidance (in the [Americas](/guides/users/verification/requirements/kyb-local#americas) and [Asia](/guides/users/verification/requirements/kyb-local#asia) sections) includes the local legal structures considered under each Legal User type, the local documents accepted for the Registration Proof and Articles of Association, and the typical format of company registration numbers.

The new guidance also includes notes about the use of [country codes for China](/guides/users/verification/requirements/kyb-local#china-cn) and [Hong Kong](/guides/users/verification/requirements/kyb-local#china-cn). Similar guidance has also been added for [France](/guides/users/verification/requirements/kyb-local#france-fr) and its dependent territories (sometimes called DOMTOMs in French)

### SCA: Passkey no longer optional if supported by user's device

The WebAuthn passkey is no longer optional if the factor is supported by the user's device.

The WebAuthn passkey represents one of the most secure web-based authentication methods available, being resistant to fraudulent attacks (such as phishing) as well as technical issues (like SMS deliverability). The technology also provides an excellent user experience.

The passkey factor is widely supported by both desktop and mobile devices. For guidance on integrating the passkey factor in a mobile flow, see the dedicated [iOS](/guides/sca/factors/passkey-ios) and [Android](/guides/sca/factors/passkey-android) guides. If your platform relies on webview for mobile flows, the SCA experience considers that the device doesn't support the factor and the passkey remains optional for the user.
