# PHP SDK - 5.0.0

> **Caution – Major version change with breaking changes**

> This SDK major version increase raises the minimum required PHP version and drops support for `psr/log` v1. Review the notes below and test your integration before upgrading in Production.

## Breaking change

### Minimum PHP version raised to 8.2

The SDK now requires PHP 8.2 or newer (`^8.2`). Applications running on PHP 5.6–8.1 must upgrade their runtime before updating to this version.

### Dropped `psr/log` v1 support

The `psr/log` dependency now requires `^2.0|^3.0`. Projects that depend on `psr/log` v1 (common in older Laravel/Symfony versions) need to upgrade their logging stack before updating to this version.

### php-cs-fixer upgraded to v3

Moved from `^2.18` to `^3.0`, with a new `.php-cs-fixer.php` config replacing the old `.php_cs` file. Linting rules now follow PSR-12.

### Removed legacy Docker-based test environments

The `php_env/` Docker test environments for PHP 5.6, 7.0, and 8.0 have been removed, reflecting the new PHP 8.2+ minimum.

### Deprecated `ReflectionProperty::setAccessible()` calls removed

These calls were already no-ops since PHP 8.1 and triggered deprecation notices on PHP 8.4+. Removing them clears the warnings for consumers running newer PHP versions.
