Changed
SEPA Direct Debit ChargeDate now 2 days earlier after creation
When a SEPA Direct Debit pay-in is created, the ChargeDate
returned is now 2 days earlier than it was previously. The timings following the charge date have not changed: the user’s account is typically debited 2 days after the charge date.
SEPA Direct Debit timing change
Previously | Now | |
---|---|---|
Pay-in creation cutoff | D-3, 5:00 pm CET | D-1, 5:30 am CET |
Pay-in ChargeDate | D | D |
Pay-in SUCCEEDED | D+1 | D+1 |
Account debited | D+2 | D+2 |
Total business days | 5 | 3 |
This improvement in cash flow means that you need to adjust your pay-in creation date to ensure users are debited as expected. You should adjust your custom email notifications as well, if using them.
There is no change in Bacs Direct Debit timings.
See the updated direct debit guide for details on timings for both schemes.
