SCA: Passkey no longer optional if supported by user’s device
The WebAuthn passkey is no longer optional if the factor is supported by the user’s device. The WebAuthn passkey represents one of the most secure web-based authentication methods available, being resistant to fraudulent attacks (such as phishing) as well as technical issues (like SMS deliverability). The technology also provides an excellent user experience. The passkey factor is widely supported by both desktop and mobile devices. For guidance on integrating the passkey factor in a mobile flow, see the dedicated iOS and Android guides. If your platform relies on webview for mobile flows, the SCA experience considers that the device doesn’t support the factor and the passkey remains optional for the user.Read more about SCA factors→
